Reflection and Analysis
Our reflection after observing our clients testing the medium-fidelity prototype.
For this project, we decided to use Google Assistant and IFTTT notifications because we wanted to create a seamless and hands-free experience for the user. With Google Assistant, users can access the app simply by speaking to the device, which eliminates the need for them to pull out their phones and open the app manually. Additionally, by using IFTTT notifications, users can receive real-time updates and alerts directly to their devices without having to constantly check the app for changes. During the testing of this prototype, we observed several positive aspects of the app. Users found it easy and intuitive to use, as they were able to easily connect their Google Assistant to the app and receive notifications. The customizable names for each vehicle also added a fun and personalized touch to the app. However, one area for improvement was the response time of the notifications. Some users reported that the notifications took longer than expected to arrive, which caused them to doubt the reliability of the app. Some users also suggested adding more options for the types of notifications they could receive, such as updates on fuel efficiency or maintenance reminders. Overall, the testing of our medium-fidelity prototype provided valuable feedback and insights that can be used to improve the final version of the app. By addressing the areas for improvement and building upon the positive aspects, we believe the app has the potential to provide a convenient and enjoyable experience for users.
